Years with Manyet Dance<\/h5>\n

Ms.\u00a0Emily has been an instructor for Manyet Dance and a member of the Monday Night Advanced Combo class since 2013.<\/p>\n

Dance Background\/Credentials<\/h5>\n

Ms. Emily has been dancing for over 25 years with more than 15 years of teaching experience in
\nNorthern, Central, and Eastern Kentucky. She studied with distinguished studios and companies in the
\nNorthern Kentucky and Cincinnati area, including several years with Cincinnati Ballet. Emily attended
\nEastern Kentucky University where she studied Kinesiology, Biomechanics, and Dance Anatomy. While
\non scholarship as a member of the EKU Dance Team, she competed in Las Vegas, Nevada for a national
\ntitle. Ms. Emily was an elected officer, choreographer, and cast member of EKU Dance Theatre, a
\nmodern dance company under the direction of Dr. Marianne McAdam. Emily was voted by her peers as
\nthe recipient of the \u201cOutstanding Choreographer Award\u2019\u2019, the highest honor in the company. Most
\nrecently, Emily completed the courses to earn her Progressing Ballet Technique certification.<\/p>\n

Since Ms. Emily began working with the Manyet Dance Troupes in 2013, her choreography and dancers
\nhave been awarded multiple top honors and scholarship opportunities at competitions at the regional
\nand national level. Emily loves sharing her passion for dance and movement with the dancers at
\nManyet. She is proud to use her collective education and diverse experiences to challenge her dancers
\nwith original choreography that is unique and artistic. Emily\u2019s teaching style incorporates current
\nmethods of technique and training that are effective, safe and engaging.<\/p>\n

Favorite Style of Dance<\/h5>\n

Ms. Emily has enjoyed years of training in a variety of dance styles including tap, hip-hop, pom, african,
\nmiddle eastern, and ballroom (freeform waltz, latin, and west coast swing ) but her favorite styles are
\nballet, modern, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, and jazz!<\/p>\n

Ms. Emily continues her dance and cultural education by regularly attending seminars, workshops and conventions.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
